About the event
We are so excited to kick off our first year of giving with an amazing panel to inform us about Basic Needs and Safety Issues in our valley. Our guests are extremely knowledgable and open to sharing the facts, myths and stories of the reality faced by women and girls in the Bitterroot. It's an opportunity to learn from the best, ask questions, share your own perspective of the needs you see and help us become better informed as we get ready to review our first grant applications. Our panelits will be:
Gayle Carlson, Exeutive Director, Montana Food Bank, Topic: Food Insecurity
Steve Holton, Sheriff, Ravalli County, Topic: Safety Issues
Karen Mahar, City Attorney of Hamilton, Topic: Affordable Housing and Homelessness
Cathy Orr, Executive Director, Council on Aging, Topic: Issues Faced by Our Aging Population
Stacey Umhey, Executive Director, SAFE in the Bitterroot, (panel moderator): Topic: Women's Issues
